## Job description

About The Company Utopia is an ultra-luxury hospitality and lifestyle brand creating a global ecosystem of properties and experiences. We develop private villa retreats in beautiful locations around the world, each with high-end service. Utopia also offers a wider ecosystem of leisure experiences and services available both to those staying on property and to external visitors. Utopia designs and builds its properties in-house. Our projects span the full journey: from concept and architecture to construction, interiors, landscape, guest experience, and long-term operation. For architects and designers, this means contributing on properties from the ground up, with the ability to influence how each place is planned, built, and experienced. For hospitality professionals, it means collaborating with a brand where service is personal, attentive, and built around each guest’s stay. We’re a young, ambitious team with high standards and a hands-on approach. We value strong ideas, practical thinking, attention to detail, and people who are ready to take ownership of their part of each project. If you’re interested in architecture, design, hospitality, or guest experience, we invite you to explore opportunities with Utopia. About The Opportunity We are looking for dynamic and experienced Structural Design Engineers to support ongoing design development of several luxury projects worldwide focusing on boutique hospitality assets. You'll lead structural design development for Utopia's boutique hospitality villas and hotels — from concept through construction detailing — ensuring every structure meets the highest safety and seismic standards without compromising the architectural vision. You'll collaborate closely with a Structural Design Manager and the wider design team, including architects, interior designers, MEP engineers, and the FF&E procurement team. Responsibilities Design structural systems for luxury villas and boutique hotels, ensuring compliance with local codes, seismic regulations, and international standards Integrate structural solutions seamlessly with architecture, interiors, and MEP through close cross-disciplinary coordination Resolve technical challenges early, protecting design intent without compromising structural performance Produce detailed structural drawings, technical documentation, and construction specifications using Revit and AutoCAD Perform structural analysis, load calculations, and seismic design to optimize safety and performance Guide material selection and detailing to balance cost, sustainability, and architectural intent Review and approve deliverables from third-party structural consultants, geotechnical engineers, and surveyors Track emerging structural technologies and seismic design trends relevant to high-end hospitality construction Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering 6–10 years of structural design experience at a design consultancy or general contractor Experience on low-rise residential and hospitality projects — private homes, villas, hotels, resorts Proven expertise in seismic design and earthquake-resistant structures Strong background in structural detailing and construction drawings Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Excel Professional-level English What We Offer Global project exposure. Contribute to luxury hospitality projects across Europe, Africa, and Latin America. A truly international team. Collaborate across cultures, disciplines, and time zones with people bringing diverse perspectives and expertise. Remote collaboration. This opportunity is fully remote, giving you the flexibility to contribute from wherever suits you best. Collaborate beyond design. Contribute alongside architecture, branding, landscape, and operational teams to create cohesive experiences. By submitting this application, I agree that my personal data will be collected, processed, and retained by the company solely for the purposes of managing and assessing my candidacy.
