Technical Program Manager – Digital Payments
Job description
Location: Tbilisi, Georgia Duration: 6 Months (Extendable) Description: Please apply only if you are fluent in Russian and English, and eligible to work onsite in Tbilisi, Georgia, for a 6-month engagement (extendable). We are hiring a Technical Program Manager to work on a project for one of our clients in the digital-payments space. You will lead the rollout, launch, and deployment of card-tokenization and digital-wallet capabilities across several Eastern European markets, making sure each issuer is tokenization-ready and each launch goes to market cleanly. This is a program-management role with real technical weight. You will coordinate banks, processors, wallet providers, and the card scheme through complex, multi-party launches — so you need to be as comfortable with the technical payment topics as you are with the plan. We are looking for someone with 10+ years in payments or digital-wallet projects. Russian and English fluency is mandatory and non-negotiable for this role. The work itself You will manage and support the successful launch and enablement of issuer wallets across multiple markets, coordinating the moving parts between banks, processors, wallet providers, and the card scheme's implementation and product teams. On the technical enablement side, you will bring tokenization live with Google Pay, Apple Pay, and local wallets, and make sure each issuer is ready for network tokenization (MDES or equivalent), e-commerce gateway, and contactless payments. You will support go-to-market across markets — marketing and operational readiness — and drive the broader digital and e-commerce transformation each client needs to launch well. And you will keep everyone informed, monitoring portfolio performance across the rollout and providing clear weekly and monthly progress reporting. What you need to have Mandatory: Fluency in both Russian and English — non-negotiable 10+ years in payments or digital-wallet projects Hands-on experience with network tokenization (MDES or equivalent), tokenization, and wallet integrations A strong grasp of complex, technical payment topics Proven program-management and stakeholder-engagement skills A relevant bachelor's degree Eligible to work onsite in Tbilisi, Georgia Immediately available Preferred: PMP or PRINCE2 certification Direct experience with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay launches The kind of person we want You should be a program manager who isn't scared of the technical detail — someone who can hold a multi-country, multi-party wallet rollout together and still speak credibly to processors and scheme technical teams about tokenization readiness. Given the markets, working comfortably in both Russian and English isn't a nice-to-have here; it's how the job gets done day to day. What success looks like Issuer wallets launched and enabled cleanly across the target markets Each issuer tokenization-ready across wallets, e-commerce, and contactless before go-live Multi-party delivery kept aligned across banks, processors, wallet providers, and the scheme Clear, timely progress reporting throughout the rollout
