Company Description UniPilot is a global platform that supports international students throughout their entire study abroad journey, from applications and visas to travel, housing, and cultural integration. The platform offers personalized journey tracking with reminders and milestones, helping students stay organized and informed. UniPilot provides premium guidance, including pre-departure orientations and consultation support, to reduce stress and uncertainty. Students also gain access to a community of peers, alumni, and mentors, plus smart partnerships for flights, housing, insurance, and student services. UniPilot’s mission is to empower students to study abroad with clarity, confidence, and community, so they can focus on learning, personal growth, and making an impact. Role Description The UI/UX Design Intern — UniPilot (Remote) is a volunteer role focused on supporting the design and optimization of UniPilot’s digital experience for international students. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating user-centered wireframes and mockups, contributing to visual design for web and mobile interfaces, and assisting in building interactive prototypes that communicate design concepts clearly. The intern will collaborate with product and engineering team members to refine user flows, improve usability, and ensure a consistent design language across the platform. Typical tasks also include reviewing user feedback, participating in design critiques, and iterating on designs based on research and feedback, all performed remotely with flexible scheduling. Qualifications Strong user experience design skills, including User Experience Design (UED) fundamentals and an understanding of user flows, information architecture, and interaction patterns. Ability to create clear and engaging mockups and visual design assets for web and mobile interfaces using common design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD). Experience or familiarity with prototyping, including building interactive prototypes to test and communicate design ideas. Strong attention to detail, ability to interpret feedback constructively, and willingness to learn in a collaborative, remote environment. Interest in education, international student experiences, or global mobility, with a commitment to inclusive and accessible design. This internship is unpaid. A signed letter of recommendation and certification of completion will be provided with a possible offer for a full-time role.
