Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Georgia, with a mix of on-site customer visits and work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, expanding relationships with existing customers, and promoting Applied MSS’s product portfolio and VMI solutions. Daily activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting sales presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating terms to close deals. The Business Development Manager collaborates with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment, maintains accurate sales pipelines and reports, and monitors market trends and competitor activity. The role also involves regular travel within the assigned territory to meet customers, understand their operational needs, and deliver value-added solutions. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in business development, B2B sales, and account management within industrial or distribution environments. Ability to build and maintain customer relationships, conduct consultative selling, and identify value-added solutions such as VMI services. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at multiple levels. Proficiency in using CRM tools, Microsoft Office applications, and basic data analysis for sales reporting and forecasting. Knowledge of industrial products (e.g., fasteners, cutting tools, abrasives, safety, MRO supplies) is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Proven ability to work independently, manage a territory, prioritize multiple opportunities, and meet or exceed sales targets. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within Georgia and occasionally to other locations as needed.
