Job description

We are looking for a highly experienced Flutter/Dart Technical Lead to perform a comprehensive technical assessment of an existing enterprise mobile application for Resideo First Alert. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on architecture, code quality, engineering practices, and modernization planning. The successful candidate will evaluate the current implementation, identify technical debt and architectural risks, define a prioritized improvement roadmap, and lead the execution of the approved modernization initiatives. This role requires exceptional technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to present findings and recommendations to executive leadership. Responsibilities Conduct a comprehensive technical assessment of the existing Flutter application Review the overall application architecture, project structure, design patterns, scalability, maintainability, and performance Evaluate code quality, development standards, testing strategy, CI/CD processes, release process, and engineering best practices Identify technical debt, architectural bottlenecks, security concerns, and maintainability issues Produce a detailed assessment report with findings, risks, and recommendations Define a prioritized modernization and improvement roadmap through December, including milestones, dependencies, effort estimates, and expected business impact Execute the approved technical improvements and modernization initiatives Collaborate closely with engineering leadership and development teams Present technical findings and progress updates to senior leadership Provide weekly executive-level status updates directly to the VP of Software Engineering Introduce AI-assisted engineering practices to improve developer productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and software delivery Evaluate, recommend, and implement AI engineering tools and workflows (e.g., AI coding assistants, automated code reviews, AI-powered testing, and engineering automation) Drive adoption of modern engineering standards and development best practices across the team Present technical findings, architectural recommendations, and progress updates to senior leadership Requirements 8+ years of professional software engineering experience 5+ years of hands-on Flutter and Dart development Proven experience leading architecture reviews and technical assessments of enterprise mobile applications Strong understanding of software architecture, Clean Architecture principles, SOLID, dependency injection, state management patterns, and the mobile application lifecycle Deep knowledge of Flutter performance optimization and application scalability Extensive experience designing and implementing modern CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps practices, release management, quality assurance, and testing strategies Experience introducing engineering best practices and reducing technical debt in large production applications Experience leveraging AI tools and AI-assisted development workflows within software engineering teams Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with both engineering teams and executive stakeholders Nice to have Experience working with large-scale enterprise mobile products Experience modernizing legacy Flutter applications Experience with AI engineering platforms and developer productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI, Gemini, or similar technologies) Experience collaborating with distributed engineering teams Familiarity with cloud-native backend architectures and REST APIs Experience working in Agile delivery environments We offer We connect like-minded people Delivering innovative solutions to industry leaders, making a global impact Enjoyable working environment, whether it is the vibrant office or the comfort of your own home Opportunity to work abroad for up to two months per year Relocation opportunities within our offices in 55+ countries Corporate and social events We invest in your growth Leadership development, career advising, soft skills and well-being programs Certifications, including GCP, Azure and AWS Unlimited access to EPAM's internal learning database Free English classes with certified teachers We cover it all Participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan Monetary bonuses for engaging in the referral program Comprehensive medical & family care package Five trust days per year (sick leave without a medical certificate) Benefits package (sports activities, a variety of stores and services) EPAM Georgia is a team of innovators united by a passion for technology.
