Company Description Nexy TV is a new freemium streaming service focused on connecting Caucasus and Central Asian diasporas with their cultural heritage through television channels and a curated VOD library. The platform offers TV shows, documentaries, live concerts, and more via a user-friendly app, with a current focus on the Georgian diaspora. Nexy TV features a daily “Middle East Now” news program with Georgian subtitles and a dedicated Caucasus music TV channel. The company is actively expanding its catalog in Caucasus and Central Asian languages and offers a premium, ad-free subscription with additional features that can be canceled at any time. The app is available in selected territories, positioning Nexy TV as a niche, culturally driven OTT service: “Nexy – the TV you never knew you needed.” Role Description The OTT / Broadcast Streaming & Cloud Operations Engineer contract role is responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing Nexy TV’s streaming infrastructure and cloud-based services. This hybrid position is based in Tbilisi, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include configuring and maintaining streaming workflows, ensuring reliable video delivery, managing cloud resources, and supporting broadcast operations for live and on-demand content. The engineer will troubleshoot production issues, implement performance and security improvements, and collaborate with software developers, content operations, and product teams to support new features and channel launches. The role also involves documenting systems and processes, participating in incident response, and contributing to continuous improvement of OTT and broadcast reliability. Qualifications Strong Software Development skills relevant to OTT and broadcast environments, including scripting and automation for streaming workflows. Experience with Infrastructure management, including setting up and maintaining servers, networking components, and streaming platforms. Hands-on Cloud Computing skills, with the ability to deploy, monitor, and scale services on major cloud providers. Proficiency with Linux systems administration, including shell scripting, performance tuning, and security best practices. Knowledge of Databases and data storage solutions used for content, metadata, and operational logging. Familiarity with video encoding, packaging (e.g., HLS/DASH), CDNs, and OTT delivery standards. Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure high availability and rapid incident response. Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment, with clear written and verbal communication in English; knowledge of Georgian or regional languages is a plus. Comfort with hybrid work (on-site in Tbilisi plus remote), strong self-management skills, and attention to detail. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a
